CDV

CDV is public research institute and only research institute in the sphere of the Ministry of Transport.

CDV has been appointed since 1 July, 1996 by the decision of the Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic as the only research institute on transport issues under the responsibility of the Ministry of Transport. It employs more than one hundred experts of all transport modes. It carries out research and development assignments, provides expert and consultancy applications for MT and other public and private customers. It is also successfully engaged in international R+D cooperation. The CDV information centre spreads the results of research and latest international knowledge among the transport community. CDV keeps close relations with major transport research institutes and organisations in Europe and in the world, represents the Czech Republic and is an active member of the following international organisations: ETSC, ECTRI, FERSI, FEHRL, POLIS, IENE, ELITE.
The CDV has introduced and obtained the certificate of a quality assurance system meeting the requirements of CSN EN ISO 9001:2001.
