Sustainable SME logistics for the food industry |

A common food logistic system has been developed linking 40 - 50 food producers with 5 purchasers in the region. The project which is first of it’s kind in Europe is planned to be owned and operated by the partners involved and aims at developing a cost and environmentally efficient regional shared transport system. |

Added value for SMEs The project was led by the City of Malmö working with a number of SMEs and organisations on varying levels and at varying times during the delivery process including for example Mossagården AB as logistics, John Higson Ltd on concept development, Trivector AB logistics support. The project also involved a larger number of SMEs in the restaurant and farming sectors. Transport and logistic SMEs can gain a lot of insight in the pros and cons of setting up a regional transport-logistics system with multiple small and medium partners.
